Divide and Conquer Your Bustang Trip

Other (experienced) hikers have taken the Bustang bus in multiples legs,
This is in order to arrive in Denver during the day or to accommodate for late-day departures, from Durango.

• Day 1

  • Leg 1: Bustang bus from Durango to Grand Junction

    • • Durango tp Grand Junction takes about 6 hours (check their schedules, for updated timing)

      • Spend a few hours in Grand Junction (enjoy a meal), while waiting for your bus to your second destination

  • Leg 2: Bustang bus from Grand Junction to Frisco (or wherever you like, along the route)

    • Grand Junction to Frisco takes about 4 hours (check their schedules, for updated timing)

    • Stay the night in a hotel

      • Frisco may have more options, for overnight stays, than other stops along the route

      • Check and book ahead, whenever possible!

      • Have some fun, relax, and enjoy where you're at!

• Day 2

  • Leg 3: Bustang Bus from Frisco to Denver Bus Station (aka Union Station)

    • Frisco to Denver takes about 2 hours (check their schedules, for updated timing)

    • From Union Station, you  can head to the airport 

      • I'm not sure if the Bustang ticket includes RTD trains - but there's a good chance it does!

      • Union Station to DIA takes about 40 minutes, on the RTD A-Train  (check their schedules, for updated timing)
