2015 Annual Membership Meeting

The relocation of major homeless services into the Near North Valley neighborhood will be discussed by City officials and service providers at the annual meeting of the Near North Valley Neighborhood Association on Tuesday, June 16 at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, 2401 12th Street NW.
The event begins with an Open House from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm, at which time the public can view current plans for 12th Street and Menaul area roundabout and street improvements, and plans for expanding and renovating the County Extension Service/4-H property, talk with Garfield Middle School Principal David Lynch about Garfield’s conversion to a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) magnet school, and meet staff of UNM Hospital’s North Valley Clinic for Family and Community Health on 4th Street NW.
The membership meeting starts at 6:30 pm, with a celebration of the Clinic opening, reports from City Councilor Isaac Benton and County Commissioner Debbie O'Malley about area projects and issues, and the panel discussion about homeless services. There also will be election of officers and board members.
