Granting Incomplete Grades

Should one of your students experience extenuating circumstances and you have agreed to offer them an Incomplete, they will have 90 more days to complete that work. Please consult the current catalog and then search for the words “incomplete grades” for the most current policy, though generally, we ask for students to have completed 75% of the course for eligibility, but the discretion is up to the faculty on awarding an Incomplete, after consultation with their academic leader. In order to grant an Incomplete to a student, please follow these simple steps:

1. Login to the NLU portal: https://my.nl.edu/

2. Click the menu item on the right-hand navigation bar for “Faculty Advising”

3. Scroll down to the “Faculty Grade Entry” section (where the rest of the grades are entered, where "I" is now available for entry with all other grades). That’s it!
