Ateneo de Naga University, established in 1940, began its journey as a Jesuit educational institution catering exclusively to young boys. Initially, the institution operated within the confines of the building that had once housed the Camarines Sur Catholic Academy. The tumultuous years of the Pacific War caused a disruption in the school's operations, but with the return of peace in 1946, classes resumed. The institution's commitment to providing quality education was recognized in 1947 when it received full accreditation as a four-year high school. This marked a significant milestone in the history of Ateneo de Naga, setting the stage for its future growth and expansion into the esteemed university it is today.Â
