Embedded researchers as part of HDRC Doncaster co‑created a qualitative study with City of Doncaster Council Public Health practitioners. The study had the dual aims of understanding young people’s views and experiences of youth vaping in their community and building research knowledge, experience and capacity within the local authority (project one).
Following the success of this research project, a participative workshop was delivered to a further local authority service area to inform and inspire their own research journey, moving from research curious (r) to research active (R) (project two).
During the COVID-19 pandemic, demand for domestic abuse support increased significantly. In response, Coventry City Council commissioned an Early Intervention Service (EIS), bringing together 2 specialist domestic abuse services to provide targeted support.
There was a need to evaluate this approach to understand how effective it was, and to inform decisions about future commissioning and service development.
Bradford Adult Social Care Commissioning Team (ASCCT) identified a need to better understand the evidence base around how to support minoritised informal carers. This evidence was needed to inform a new strategy for unpaid carers, which had a particular focus on addressing inequalities.
