Auckland City Central, known as the Central Business District, boasts a tapestry of attractions - cinemas, malls, arcades and restaurants. Yet, amidst this vibrant scene exists an unexplored realm of entertainment untethered from financial constraints. Enter this nocturnal theatre, Dream-Weaver, nestled between two highrise buildings in Auckland City. It serves as a gradient-like pathway bridging the economic glamour of Queens Street and the whimsy of Lorne Street, where the Auckland Library resides. Akin to a loom, it employs threads as pulleys to craft suspended theatre sets that hover over the expansive space.
With a simple pulley mechanism, it orchestrates diverse and immersive performances to envision a nightly performance and imaginative exhibition. Drawing inspiration from a loom’s functional structure and weaving space, this theatre becomes a living narrative to spin its own stories in a unique and captivating manner
