The genesis of this project emerges from a young individual seeking respite from the digital creative economy. The individual longs to immerse in a retreat of learning to make handicrafts and develop their independent craft business. The Creative Topography is embodied as a quarter to cultivate a community of varied artists and hobbyists.
It is a collaborative hub where individuals nurture their skills, delve into their interest in a craft, and exchange expertise within their respective disciplines. At the ground level, an open market introduces the foundational disciplines of craft for first-time visitors to wander. As the visitors ascend to the upper levels, the quarter progressively unfolds secondary disciplines on the higher floors, effectively shaping a multi-layered topography of creativity.
This innovative space offers an array of functions - from small market stores to communal craft workshops to culinary services and curated areas for authentic artistic works. Temporary accommodation for artists and hobbyists is provided for holiday breaks to hone their craft. The Creative Quarter not only fosters skill development and artistic exchange but also offers immersive experiences of a local craft community
