2019, Semester 1
This residential design stems from a collaborative team project to rejuvenate the industrial landscape of Delta Avenue, New Lynn. Our team proposed revitalizing the area by introducing green spaces of native flora while placing significant care on restoring the Whau River’s ecological balance. Small water lanes are incorporated around the residential areas to accentuate how the Whau River brings natural life to households, highlighting the residents’ invested interest in its well-being.
Brick Blanket is a residential design that caters to a family unit of two grandparents, a single parent and a single child, offering a serene abode on the slanted hill by the Whau River. Intersecting with one of the water lanes, a garden space intertwines with the interior rooms to foster family connections through planting, nurturing and growing.
