PRIMARY ROLES IN THE 37TH MOTORCOMMS
With the New Model Army standardizing the militias of the Midwest into one coherent army, a standardized set of roles was made. These Primary Roles serve the purpose of specializing Infantryman in a certain style of fighting, allowing the unit as a whole to be able to take on any threat.
After another reorganization of the 1st Signal Corps, the Dispatch Rider and Radioman roles have been combined into a single 'Dispatcher' role. These soldiers utilize both the invisible medium of radio waves to communicate via the RB-57 radio-pack, as well as act as evolved couriers utilizing vehicles such as ATVs and Motorcycles to deliver messages when all other modes of communication fail. These Infantrymen are critically important to the war effort, as they transmit long-range communications and are highly mobile using their vehicles. All Dispatchers have a background in the use of their equipment via either their civilian lives or special training in boot camp.
A new addition to the 37th's roster, Crewmen are responsible for the operation and upkeep of the New Model Army's vast array of motorized and mechanized vehicular transports. Crewmen operate a range of vehicles, including trucks, homesteaders, and half-tracks, all of which can be deployed to or found already on the Sunrise Isles. The primary job of these vehicle operators is to transport and deploy members of the infantry quickly and safely, making them critical to Army logistics, and having them rarely operate alone. Crew members carry similar weapons to other roles in the 37th, favoring compact firearms and those that are better suited for close-quarters defense.
