Fort Huxley's 'first' sector, and most prominent, is the Civilian Sector. It serves as the main way for the population of Sunrise to interact with the NMA. Fully accessible to friendly factions and unaffiliated wastelanders.
FRONT GATE - As the civilian sector is considered open to wasters and neutral faction members, the main gates of the fort will remain open day and night, unless closed in accordance with security measures. Those entering the fort are not required to surrender firearms, regardless of their citizenship status. However, all vehicles and persons must be searched for contraband (drugs, explosives, etc.) before entry.
CIVILIAN HOUSING - The Civilian Housing building serves as room and board for all non-garrisoned individuals at Fort Huxley. Visitors to the fort may book it as a "hotel" for a night or two, Midwestern Citizens may choose to roleplay renting a room, and visiting NMA personnel (i.e. Air Corps pilots / Army Command officers) may stay there before returning to the Union.
OFFICE OF CIVIL SERVICES - The Office of Civil Services is the fort’s “Welcome Center,” and is usually the first stop for visitors. It possesses a mail office for staying in touch with friends and family back in the Union (as well as amongst other positions on Sunrise), and repatriation services for those on Sunrise hoping to begin a new life as a Midwestern citizen.
THE STAG STOP - The Stag Stop is a bar/restaurant that serves a dual role as a civilian location and the primary canteen for the NMA, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Like all buildings in Huxley, only Minnows are acceptable legal tender. Anyone, faction member or not, may roleplay as a worker of the Stag Stop.
MEDICAL CENTER - The medical center is the NMA’s primary field hospital, which has been expanded to allow for civilian patients. Like the Stag Stop, anyone may roleplay as a doctor/nurse working in the medical center, so long as their OC’s lore has them qualified. Midwestern citizens will be given priority over nonaffiliates for treatment, and will pay less.
GENERAL STORE - The General Store primarily exists to allow people to purchase goods of Midwestern origin, giving soldiers a taste of home and civilians an idea of what to expect from Union produce. The store may be staffed by anyone, but those who wish to sell local products are better left setting up in the various stalls nearby. The store also features a changing room and storage room, which are self-explanatory.
Fort Huxley's 'second' sector, the military sector, is home to all vital military infrastructure and is the headquarters for the NMA in Sunrise. The military sector is only be accessible by Army personnel and Midwestern citizens who request an escort to enter.
SECTOR CHECKPOINT - The Sector Checkpoint divides the military sector from the civilian sector, and unlike the front gates, 1-2 NMA soldiers usually man the checkpoint at all times, and entry is extremely restrictive. The checkpoint is usually kept shut unless Army personnel pass through, or if Midwestern citizens/allied factions are escorted through. Otherwise, the checkpoint prevents non-Midwesterners from entering the military sector.
HUXLEY COMMAND CENTER - The Huxley Command Center is the main headquarters building for the Sunrise Isles NMA Garrison. Here is where all the officers and administrative personnel work day and night to ensure the functioning of the NMA's presence on the Isles, alongside maintaining communications with the mainland. Only officers are permitted to freely enter the building, and anyone else requires explicit permission from a Standing Officer and above, alongside an escort.
UNIT BARRACKS - The Unit Barracks are the housing for the soldiers of the NMA's garrison in Fort Huxley, consisting of four buildings for the 25th Naval Infantry, the Canadian Auxiliary Corps, and the 37th MotorComms Company. The barracks are personalized to the liking of each unit, though personnel are frequently rotated in and out of the fort and the NMA's various camps.
SUPPLY DEPOT - The Supply Depot is the main storage area of Fort Huxley, and is intended to store the NMA's provisions, ammunition, spare parts, tools, and practically anything else the Garrison could need. The Supply Depot is frequented by clerks to ensure proper cataloging, though Infantrymen have established a 'recreational area' where officers can't bother them.
ARMORY - The Armory is where all the NMA garrison's firearms, explosives, and combative equipment are stored, and where they can equip themselves if venturing out of the fort, alongside modifying their weaponry using a workbench. The Armory also contains the Exchange Office, where soldiers can requisition special equipment.
MOTORPOOL - The Motorpool is where all of the NMA garrison's vehicles are parked as well as maintained, ranging anywhere from motorcycles to halftracks. The Motorpool may also accommodate non-military vehicles temporarily, though not without permission from a Captain or higher.
AIR STATION - Air Station Huxley consists of two components: the control tower and the helipad. The control tower is used to communicate with aircraft as it approaches or departs from Huxley, though may also serve as a backup radio tower. The helipad is located near the tower, and is where helicopters from the mainland or the Sword Fleet may make a safe landing. No aircraft are permanently stationed at Fort Huxley due to the fort's inability to provide maintenance for a permanent AAC presence. However, helicopters from both Sword Fleet and the Mainland are within a short flight to Sunrise when their assistance is requested.
DOCKS - While currently rendered a low-priority project by harsh Wintertide conditions, the docks of Fort Huxley are the location from which ships may offload supplies and temporarily find safe harbor. While ice sheets prevent any direct docking, the docks can theoretically accomodate any ship smaller than a Huron-class Corvette.
