SECONDARY ROLES IN THE 25TH NAVAL INFANTRY
Since the New Model Army is a standardized army that is no longer based from town-to-town like the militias of old, the required civilian assistance in running the army's facilities is absent on most fronts. As such Army Command has seen to it that Infantrymen will be required to take on a Secondary Role, which focuses on a plethora of jobs that a civilian would normally take.
The New Model Army has kept the names of these roles rather broad as to capture as many bases as possible, without locking an Infantryman into a hyper specific job.
Troopers responsible for any and all supplies in a given camp or fortress. They make sure everyone is equipped, and are typically responsible for scavenging in the field for supplies.
Troopers responsible for the preparation and making of food for other Troopers in their unit. They are tasked with purchasing, foraging, hunting, or theft of provisions for their fellow Troopers.
Troopers responsible for maintaining the weapons and equipment for the 25th and attached units. Trained gunsmiths and engineers, they will ensure the NMA's vast arsenal is operating at peak efficiency.
Logisticians - Focuses on the supplies of an individual Infantryman. Also acts as scavengers who set up patrols in search of supplies.
Salesmen - Works on one time deals with wasters for acclimation of supplies.
Mail Sorters - Although letters are far and few on Sunrise, Mail sorters mostly organize mail between camps.
Stewards - act as secretaries & assistants to Officers.
Camp Cooks - General cooks who prepare food for the army, although with purchasing of food from vendors.
Foragers - Goes out to find unorthodox meals for the army, usually in the form of hunting, fishing, or foraging local plants and fungi.
Armorsmith - Infantrymen who are responsible for the maintenance and creation of body armor and certain structures.
Gunsmiths - Infantrymen who specialize in the maintenance of all firearms within the New Model Army.
These Troopers are responsible for the NMA's vehicles and fortifications. Most engineers are divided between two roles, either focusing on constructing forts or bases, or fixing vehicles (the NMA still expects them to be able to do both).
While medical needs in the field falls into the hands of Corpsmen while major medical treatment is handled by Physicians in the backline, Nurses play a vital role in assisting them where ever. While typically not as skilled as Physicians and Corpsmen, Nurses handle triage and lighter cases that do not require the attention of their superiors.
[LORE/CREATOR TEAM EXCULSIVE]
Normally sources of news and other media often come from the civilian side of the Midwestern Union, however due to the isolated position of the 25th Naval Infantry, it is too dangerous for civilian journalists. As such the 25th Naval Infantry has a select few Infantrymen acting as embedded journalists for either small unit newspapers, or in hopes of getting their story in a Union wide paper.
Constructor - Engineers that focus on the building and dismantling of structures within New Model Army Camps and Forts.
Mechanic - Engineers that focus on the general maintenance of the New Model Army's vehicles
Technician - Engineers that focus on general maintenance and use of mechanical devices such as PDAs, Radios, Generators, etc.
Trauma Nurses - Nurses that focus on stabilizing and assisting other medical personnel in emergencies. They are experts at triage and are able to keep patients alive until further treatment.
Assistant Nurses - Nurses with focus on lighter tasks like documenting and organizing patients, handling non-critical patients, and handling the main lobby.
Reporters - Infantrymen who are focused on getting a story, usually but holding interviews with fellow infantrymen and wasters out on the isles.
Photographers - As the title suggests, these infantrymen are focused on getting the perfect capture of the front, usually taking photos to go along side Reporter stories.
