Fallen Tree on Mary Townley Loop

A member brought to our attention on the 5th August that a tree had fallen down blocking the access to the Pennine Bridleway between Whitworth Road and Healey Dell. We visited the sight and it was quite a big tree (see photos below). We reported this to Lancashire Rights of Way who sent us a lovely email on the Monday to say they would get around to moving it as soon as possible. They then sent us another lovely email saying the tree had been removed on Tuesday 8th August. We sent an email thanking them on behalf of all the equestrians for such promt action.
