Upon the release of the GCE Normal (Academic) Level examination results, eligible Secondary 4N(A) students can apply for the DTD intake exercise using their GCE N (Academic) Level examination results and school-based O-Level preliminary examination results (if applicable). Upon release of the DTD posting results, students who have been offered a place must indicate acceptance of the offer by end of December, failing which the offer will lapse and the place will be offered to another student. More information on the admission procedures can be found in the January 2022 NTC Admission Booklet.
Eligible Secondary 4N(A) students who have sat for both GCE Normal (Academic) and GCE O-Level examination subjects in 2021 may also apply for the DTD intake exercise.
Successful applicants will be posted to respective DTD Higher Diploma courses, which will commence in January 2022. Students who have received and accepted a DTD offer by the end of 2021 need not report for Secondary 5 education on 4 January 2022.
Yes. Secondary 4N(A) students can combine their GCE N-Level examination results and school-based O-Level preliminary examination results to apply for the DTD. Students who are successful in their DTD application will receive an offer for a DTD course. If a student takes the same subject at both of the Normal (Academic) and O-Levels examinations, only the better grade will be used for computation of his/her ELMAB3 aggregate. Similarly, Normal (Academic) and O-Level points can be used in lieu for admission to DTD courses. Upon the release of the GCE O-Level examination results, NTC will verify if DTD applicants who had previously used school-based preliminary examination results for admission have fulfilled the necessary criteria or met the course entry requirement for continuation in the DTD course offered to them.
