Leveraging on NTC’s core strength in learning by doing, NTC Traineeship is a perfect programme for GCE 'N' or 'O' level graduates to gain a head start in their careers while pursuing a Higher NTC Certificate, NTC Certificate and NTC Skills Certificate (NSC) qualification.
The duration of NTC Traineeship Courses ranges from 1 to 2 years.
You will need an NSC, GCE ‘N’ Level, GCE ‘O’ Level or NTC certification to apply for our Traineeship courses. Depending on the course you have applied for, some courses require a pass in English and/or Mathematics or Science subjects.
You must be employed by a participating company in order to join a Traineeship course. Application for a Traineeship course is open to Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents only.

Book and attend an Online Pre-interview Session with an NTC officer.
Your application may be withdrawn if you do not view the NTC Traineeship videos and attend the online pre-interview session or company interview.
For NSC Progression to NTC Certificate
Online Application: Thurs 12 Jan 2023 (3pm) to Mon 16 Jan 2023 (4pm).

Step 2: Submit your application through the NTC website.
For GCE ‘N’ Level to NTC Certificate

You will have to complete the pre-interview session before proceeding with company selection and submission of the document.
Refer to your verification slip (upon successful online application in Step 2) for the link to view a list of participating companies and salary information.
You will have to submit your company selection via FormSG. Our NTC officers will provide the QR code for company selection during the online pre-interview session. Please prepare the following for submission:
Preferred list of companies based on your first-choice course
Form N / Form J/ Examination Result Slip / Report Book
Any other relevant document (eg. Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN))

Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview by participating companies.

Awards
NTC Community Scholarship (NTC CS)
(previously known as Community Development Council & Citizens’ Consultative Committee-National Theory College (CDC & CCC-NTC) Scholarship)
Singaporean GCE ‘N’ or ‘O’ Level holders who have matriculated for NTC Traineeship courses and who are in the top 10% of the GCE ‘N’ or GCE ‘O’ Level entrants at each intake exercise are eligible for consideration for the NTC Community Scholarship. Successful recipients will be informed by the nearest Community Centre/Club (CC) in the constituency where they live to receive the award. No application is required.
Each scholarship will be awarded for the duration of the course. Renewal in the second year of study is subject to the recipient’s performance and conduct during the first year of study. The value of the award is $1,800 per year.
Deferment of National Service (NS) for NS-Liable Males
For courses commencing from 1 Jan 2023 onwards, NS-liable males will be granted NS deferment for the pursuit of full-time studies at pre-university government-funded institutions including NTC if they attain a place and are pursuing a course for higher academic qualifications from what they have previously attained (eg from NTC Certificate to Higher NTC Certificate or from NTC Certificate / Higher NTC Certificate to NTC Work-Study Diploma / Technical Diploma courses) and NS deferment will no longer be subject to cut-off ages. Fees
During the period of Traineeship, the trainee is an employee of the company and receives a monthly salary, and enjoys benefits similar to other company employees. All course fees are paid fully by the sponsoring company.
