My fall into the woodworking hobby began with the purchase of a wood burning tool that I wanted to use for creating decorative wood burning. I started by tracing out two doves on a random piece of wood, and I traced by drawing with the hot end of the wood burning tool. It came out pretty good in my eyes, and apparently my grandma agreed! She sent me a bare box that she thought I would have fun engraving with the wood burning tool, but I wanted to step it up a notch. I wanted to create compartments inside the box for her to store jewelry, but how I could I make the compartments? I bought a small saw. How could I sand all these surfaces? I bought a sander. This was the beginning of a slippery slope towards woodworking.
