About the Guru
Ms. Bandana Paul
A Delhi based creative designer with proven strengths in creativity with a flourishing artist career. She earned her bachelorette degree in 2015 and masters in 2018 with applied art as a specialization. She is currently pursuing her career as an Art Editor at DK Publication. She has had various experience as a graphic designer and Illustrator at companies like Kairo5 marcom and IJCP. She has done challenging mural paintings for famous shows like roadies at MTV, and galleries like garden galleria, Noida. She has conducted successfully watercolor illustration workshops in Delhi. She draws inspiration from nature and tangible surroundings to suffice her creative energy through mediums like Drawing, Sketching, Portrait, Caricature, Illustration, Typography, Print Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
Sh. Ashish Chatterjee
A Delhi based artist with proven expertise in the art field and have accumulated 41 years’ worth experience, he earned his art degree with applied art as a specialization and did his masters in Mass Communication. He has been the Senior Art Director at India Today Group and is the publisher of India Today, Bombay, Cosmopolitan, Business Today, India Today Plus, etc., and also been the art director at various other companies as well. He has worked as the head of Department of Journalism & Mass Communication at Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, Rajasthan and Invertis University, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh as Associate Professor & Head of the Department. He had his book Published: “Design & Graphics: A Beginner’s Guide” in 2018 through Publisher: A.K. Publications, Delhi. He hosted various successful workshops in Delhi, Jaipur, Bareilly, Allahabad and overseas as well such as sultanate of Oman.
About the Workshop
The workshop involves exploration of the medium Caricature as a creative expression. It will draw inspiration from the rich accumulation from NGMA of Modern Indian Artist. It includes the discussion of Modern Indian Artworks in a digital illustrative manner. It will provide insights on how Gaganendranath Tagore used illustrations and caricature to communicate satire on society.
