About the Guru

ANJON BOSE

(Multidisciplinary Artist, Theatre Activist, Art Mentor & Artistic Director)

Visual Art - Facilitator

He graduated from Delhi College of Arts and did MA History of Arts from National Museum Institute. Presently he is the PGT Arts at Tagore International School, Delhi. He did a phenomenal job as a performing artist for companies like Woodland, National Geographic, etc.

In 1998, he joined Sansaptak. He has worked as an actor, activist, stagecraft, costume, properties, light, music, and graphic designer and executor since then. He is currently the Chief Editor of Sansaptak's newsletter 'Yavanpat,' as well as a mentor to theatre and fine art students. He has directed and designed several plays under the tutelage of Guru, Torit Mitra, and has received critical acclaim and accolades.

SREEMOYEE DASGUPTA

(Theatre Activist & Mentor, Multidisciplinary Artist)

Story writing and telling facilitator

She holds a bachelor's degree in English literature and a master's degree in mass communication. She worked as an Associate Editor at Sterling Publications, where she worked with clients such as Mattel, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Warner Bros., DC Comics, Hasbro, and many others, and she has been commissioned to edit for several publications, including Sahitya Akademi, Niyogi Books, and CURE. She appeared in award-winning street plays produced by Lakshya (Kamala Nehru College's Theatre Society), as well as NSD and Safdar Hashmi Samaroh, both of which were organised by Moloyashree Hashmi. Films like ‘Home of the world’and ‘Vasundhara’ by Sanspatak publication are under badges of honour as a graphic designer that received critical acclaim.

Synopsis of the Program:

The relation of visual art and theatre is just not decorative or conceptual development of art making, rather the interplay and cross disciplinary approach of art and theatre pedagogy develops the design thinking ability, team man ship, inter & intra-personal communication.

The workshop will focus on lot of improvisation and connection the elements of both the art forms. This work shop will mostly focus on OBSERVE- REFLECT and MAKE. Participants will learn how to read and interpret visual and create positive mental wellbeing.

Materials Required:

Participants must get collage materials, magazines, newspapers, old catalogues, pasting and paint materials, and note book &pen to write.
