Oxytocin: This neurotransmitter and hormone is know as the love hormone. Spending time with loved ones, giving hugs, and being generous can increase levels of this hormone in your brain. Increases in Oxytocin increases feelings of bonding and trust to strengthen relationships between peoples.
Serotonin: This is a mood boosting hormone helps your brain properly function, get better sleep and help your digestion system. Increasing your fiber intake can help increase serotonin. Keeping a consistent schedule of exercise can help boost Serotonin to increase happiness, decrease anxiety and lower depression symptoms.
Endorphins: This is known as the runner’s hormone. This hormone functions in your brain as a painkiller. Endorphins create a euphoric happy feeling when increased. Endorphins can be increased from going on runs, eating spicy food, and laughing!
