In 2007, the Washington State legislature created the College Bound Scholarship program. This is a scholarship designed to help families with the high cost of post high school education or job training. The scholarship covers tuition, some fees, and a small book allowance, allowing families to dream a little bigger. Qualifying 7th and 8th grade students who pledge to graduate from high school, demonstrate good citizenship, and seek admission to an approved training program, college or university can receive this scholarship.
The scholarship is available to all 7th and 8th grade students whose family income meets certain criteria or those students who are in foster care. With the economic trouble and unemployment faced by many families today it is more important than ever to help secure your one's future. The time to sign up is now! Students can only enroll in this program during their 7th or 8th grade years. Please see the link below to learn more and enroll in this wonderful opportunity.
