Summer “Special” Research Grants and Sabbatical Leaves

  • One month summer Research Grant, 2006: Conducted research at KFUPM. Measurements of UWB Through-the-Wall Propagation Using Spectrum Analyzer and the Hilbert Transform, Funded by Teaching and Learning Center , Junior Faculty Development Program, Deanship of Academic Development, KFUPM, Saudi Arabia. This grant resulted in a journal paper.

  • Summer 2013 Visiting Professor Center for Advanced Communications (CAC) at Villanova University, Villanova, PA, USA. Was supported by the International Scholar Program Grant.

  • Summer 2015 Visiting Scholar, Center for energy and Geoprocessing (CeGP), Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), Atlanta, GA, USA. Supported by CEGP/KFUPM.

  • Summer 2016 Three weeks research program for young gifted students. I have spent about 3 hours per day in the Telecommunications Research Laboratory. The program is research oriented. One of the students in my group secured the 1st position in the Mawhiba research program at KFUPM.

  • Summer 2018 Visiting Researcher at King Abdullah University for Science and Technology (KAUST), Thuwal, Saudi Arabia

Many other summers was in regular teaching assignments.
