For the VPODS project, we had to create a video all about us and our goals as a teacher, a video covering how to do something, and a video that would be an example of what students would turn in. Below are more details on the videos.
Synopsis: The video covering how to solve for one side of a triangle using the Pythagorean Theorem will be used as a homework assistant to students when completing their homework over the Pythagorean Theorem. It will be posted within the Homework Station on my website next to the specific homework assignment. It will help students to see an example of the problem type so if they get stuck, they can reference to the video to walk them through solving the problem.
Synopsis: The video created is an example of what students would be turning in as a video assignment based on Newton’s Three Laws of Motion. The students will be required to have a short introduction at the beginning before moving into describing each law’s definition and providing an example for each law. This will show that students understand the difference in the three laws and can provide an adequate example. Videos will be used in an 8th grade science class after students are introduced to the three laws and will be a summative assignment for that lesson.
