I competed in the JFK Profiles in Courage Essay Contest in 2023 and was recognized as a second round finalist by the JFK Presidential Library, placing in the top 10% of all submissions. I wrote this critical essay about the life of Aaron Henry and his contribution to the change of the Mississippi. An excerpt of the exposition is included below.
