Translation: You quote content from reputable resources without plagiarizing stuff. And, you know how to quote well.
Another competency that all essays are supposed to show = Employ a writing process which includes gathering information and exploring ideas, developing and supporting a point of view or thesis, organizing, revising, editing, and proofreading.
In other words, DO NOT write the paper lazily the night before and sloppily try to just get it done, but instead, do small revisions to make it the best possible paper. Students who typically get A’s in this course revise 4-5 times, per paper.
Also, it is worth remembering that colleges consider copying and pasting direct content from CHAT GPT or other AI sources as PLAGIARISM.
-------------
The major assignments--Visual Analysis, Annotated Bibliography, Research Project, and Literary Analysis--are mandatory and no major assignment can be skipped. Rehashed or recycled essays written for other classes are unacceptable, especially ones from high school. AI essays, essays farmed from essay banks or other work being passed off as one's own constitutes plagiarism, and will adversely impact final course performance, and may even result in academic probation or expulsion.
