NBCT 

I first learned about the importance of National Board teacher certification when I was asked to serve on a committee at KDE alongside numerous NBCT teachers to develop the curriculum for the Teaching and Learning Pathway that has since been implemented statewide.

In working with those gifted and devoted educators, I came to see NBCT certification as a "next level" in teaching. As I spoke with them further about their experience, I soon learned that the NBCT path is one for me.

In the fall of 2025, I will begin work towards my National Board certification with the plan of finishing it within two years. I look forward to the challenge and for the opportunity to grow as a teacher for my students and my community through certification.
