Educators Rising

Educators Rising is a national student-led organization that aims to prepare young people for a career in education. Much like the field of agriculture has FFA for support, future teachers have Ed Rising. 

It is a much newer program (only reestablished in the past ten years), but has grown considerably and now hosts over 500 high school students from Kentucky each March for a state convention and over 5,000 future teachers for a national conference each summer. 

The Ed Rising chapter at RCHS was one of the first in the state and has been one of the most robust programs to date. We completed service projects, led workshops and enrichment classes, and attended regional and statewide professional development conferences.

I look forward to the opportunity to start a new Ed Rising program or to help work to make an existing program better at a new school.
