EKU - SED 104

SED 104 (Introduction to Special Education) is a course offered by Eastern Kentucky University usually to education majors in their first or second year in the program. I partnered with EKU to bring the course to RCHS through our dual credit program in 2017. 

Since then, we have offered the course every year to juniors and seniors as an introduction into the field of education where students are encouraged to consider a career in teaching. I'm proud to say that through these past seven years, a number of my former students have either completed or are working towards teacher certification. 

The promotion of the education field is something that is very near and dear to me. I see education as a personal saving grace and I have made it my mission to work to help bring great people into the field.
