InDesign is a layout program for designing print and digital publications.
InDesign is simple to use. Most of the program is arranging boxes on boxes. You’ll see what I mean, but first here are some simple tools.
1) Press W to make the guidelines appear and disappear.
2) You’ll notice that you have many of the same tools available to you, such as the line tool, text tool, shape tools, pen tool, and pencil tool.
3) Try making a line. Notice the think black line of the top bar. Click this to change the type of line you want to draw.
4) Try making a box with the Rectangle Frame Tool. After, drop an image in the box by pressing CTRL + D. Use the Direct Selection Tool to adjust the image inside the box. Use the Selection Tool to move the box.
Use these tools to make a black and white poster for a community event. For example, it might be for a garage sale, a community play, or art classes. Your poster must:
1) An original illustration made in Illustrator.
2) Use a combination of fonts
3) Contain text of different sizes.
4) Be made in InDesign.
Good Luck!
