The School of Athens, Raphael Sanzio da Urbino (1509)
Nonfiction writing is a major staple of the business world. Learning to write correctly and coherently in letters, memos, emails, and on other paperwork is a skill that will carry you up the ladder of success and promotion as you move through the private sector. Using the correct forms and functions of nonfiction writing is similar to fiction writing, as each separate kind of writing form has its own personal and appropriate function. Overall, the most important element of nonfiction writing is to make sure that your point is carried across to your audience in as succinct and definitive a way as possible.
