The only information available on this artist who created senso-e (war prints) of the Sino-Japanese War (1894-95), historical prints, e-sugoroku (picture game boards) and bunmei kaika (civilization and enlightenment) prints, is that he was a student of the artist Yōshū Chikanobu (1838-1912).
