What Works: Overall, this is a very well done visualization with quite a lot of information to answer any questions about the flu. This is an extremely interactive visualization which allows you to filter out many things. One might say there is an excessive amount of filtering options but in retrospect, this visualization is for anyone so anyone should be able to use it. There are options for all of the visualizations to enlarge the size of the visualization to help see it better. When all four visualizations are shown, they are all quite small, so this is a relatively nice option for users who might have trouble seeing. There are also checkboxes to filter out what data is shown, and this is a very nice option if you wanted to take a look at 1 or 2 types of flu variations rather than all of them. I also like the feature to download the data. It downloads a few CSV files so you can look at the data in a table form. The Help page is also very useful because it does into great detail about how to use the application and information about the application itself.
This minimize/maximize option is on top of each visualization tab
These checkbox options are located on the top of the screen where all of the other dropdown menus are

What Needs Improvement: The text inside all of the visualizations, especially the legends, are very small and some people may have a difficult time trying to read the legends. Also, I do not like the fact that you cannot do a "split screen" comparison. If one wanted to make a comparison, maybe implementing one instead of choosing each season separately is a good idea. There is a "Weeks" slider option right below the dropdowns and it was quite confusing at first since the left side of the slider started at Week 39. It is like this for the bar and line charts as well. This is just preference but I do not really see the need for the "Most recent 3 weeks" option on the pie charts. Maybe if instead you could filter out each month, it might be more useful. I also find it strange that on the dropdown menu for the states, New York City and Los Angeles are separate from New York and California respectively. So it would help if there was some explanation for this.
An example of how small the text is when looking at this pie chart, even maximized
As you can see, the first week is located slightly after halfway the slider, if they could have added that the seasons start at week 40 it would have been more clear
These are the two options for New York City and Los Angeles, I am not sure why these cities are separate from their states
