INTRODUCTION - This Shiny application shows multiple visualizations showing the amounts of power with different energy sources in the United States from 1990 - 2019. The visualizations include stacked bar charts, line charts, tables, and heat maps. There is also a "split screen" where you can mix and match the year, energy source, and state. This way, you are able to do comparisons across these 3 attributes while updating the visualizations to see the differences. The heat maps also allow you to mix and match the energy sources and year and those also update accordingly.
In order to access each of the visualizations, there is a sidebar menu on the left as shown below. By selecting either of the first 3 tabs, "Bar Graphs, Line Graphs, and Tables", you can see each of these visualizations on their own showing the data for the United States.

For the line graphs in particular, there is a set of check boxes for each chart which allow you to filter out or add in the lines on the graph. However, it is important to note that you must uncheck "All" first if you would like to filter out any lines since "All" shows all the lines by default.

For the split screen and heat maps, those utilize the 6 drop down menus below the sidebar menus. For the split screen, you are able to use all 6 drop downs to mix and match the state, year, and energy source. All of the visualizations will update accordingly depending on what you pick. For the heat maps, since it shows the entire US map, there is no need to use the state drop downs for that part.
