Campaign Statement: 

It is with enthusiasm and careful consideration, that I have chosen to run for a Board Memberat-

Large position of The Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale. As a member of MKFF since 2015, I am

ready to represent you. Whether you are member or committee chair/co-chair, I would like to

be your voice and streamline how your thoughts, concerns and ideas are brought to the board.

I will be your liaison. As the organization continues to grow, I would like to support and

improve membership retention, aid in preventing isolation of members due life changing

events, celebrate your milestones and serve as a catalyst to bring the gifts and talents of those

members who would like to be involved, to the forefront to further the organization’s growth. I

will work with committees to create events that to speak to the essence of MKFF, from social to

empowerment events. As we affectionately say, we are more than a Mardi Gras Krewe.

I am an Attorney/Administrative Law Judge for Louisiana Workforce Commission. I’m also a

qualified mediator. My professional work experience expands from Human Resource Manager

to Retry Coordinator, Chaplain, Student Advocate and now Attorney. I have a B.A. in

Psychology from Spelman College, J.D. from University of Tulsa College of Law and a Master of

Divinity, M. Div., from Union Theological Seminary at Columbia University, NY, NY. I have

worked with several nonprofits from their inception to create bylaws, help them to successfully

gain 501(c)(3) status and assisted with program development. I am a member of Delta Sigma

Theta Sorority Incorporated, NAACP, REJOICE, Inc. – Board Member, SWANS Inc. – Board

Member and Supporters of Washington Elementary.

Since 2015, I have been an active member of MKFF’s Community Engagement and Social

Committees. Also, I was a member of the Special Events Committee for two years. Most

recently, I became a co-lieutenant of Creme de la Femme.

Some of my other skills include being an effective communicator, authentic, lifelong learner,

great listener and supportive. I express my opinion while respecting the ideas and thoughts of

others.

Large. I am MKFF: Motivated, Knowledgeable, Forward Thinking & Fair. I am equipped to do

the job and ready to be your voice.
