Campaign Statement:

My Dear Femme Sisters…

I am respectfully seeking the position of Chaplain for the Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale. My position in everything that I do is humbly that “I Am Called To SERVE.” I have served in various leadership capacities as an educator, community activist, and servant in my church.

I earned my degrees from SUNO, Xavier, and Grand Canyon University (BA, MA, Ed.D). My career achievements as a servant leader include leadership at the local and state levels as a School Administrator, School Improvement Coordinator, Distinguished Educator, Program Director, and Leadership Coach, just to name a few. I currently serve as an Educational Field Supervisor.

Since 2014 I have served as President of Mount Zion Lutheran Church Congregation (where I was baptized and confirmed), Chair of the Church Council, and Chair of the Board of Education. The National President of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) appointed me in May 2023 to serve on the Mercy Floor Committee at the August 2023 Triennial Conference in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The LCMS Southern District President also appointed me to serve on the Floor Committee at the 2022 District Convention held in Slidell, Louisiana. The convention delegates elected me to serve as a member of the Nominating Committee.

As an active member for the past 33 years of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. I have served in various capacities at the Regional and Chapter levels. I have served as the President, 1st Vice-President, 2nd Vice-President, and have led several committees over the years. Currently I am serving as the chapter’s Parliamentarian and Chair of the Constitution and Bylaws Committee, Rituals Co-Chair and Cancer Awareness Brunch Co-Chair.

As an active member for the past 23 years of the NCBW-Greater New Orleans Chapter, Inc., I have served as the President, 3rd Vice President, and Protocol Chair. I currently serve as the Parliamentarian, Chair of the Education, Constitution & Bylaws, and Ethics Committees.

Since joining the Mystic Krewe of Famme Fatale in 2014, I have personified the spirit of service in my assigned roles. I was an Inaugural Rider in 2015; Membership-Co-Chair from 2014-2018; Parade Marshall Lieutenant in 2016; and the La Dame Lieutenant from 2017-2023. I have served as the Host Hotel Coordinator from 2016-Present. I was responsible for the movement of the Grand Marshals from 2016-August 2023 and have humbly served others assigned to me. I have worked with all Committee Chairs to coordinate the arrival and seating of Leadership and Royalty. I am also the script writer for both Reveal and Gala.

I was recently appointed Chaplain in April 2023. As Chaplain it has been my role to serve, support, and comfort our Femme sisters during times of illness, grief, and life challenges. With this said, I humbly ask for your vote as it is my desire to continue to serve as the MKFF Chaplain. For even the son of man came not to be served, But to SERVE. Mark 10:45
