I recently volunteered at a fundraiser hosted by the Connecticut Dental Hygiene Association that focused on spreading awareness on proper dental hygienic and ways people can practice these daily. The event had a variety of food, free dental cleaning, and dental hygienic products to help enforce the importance of healthy teeth cleaning habits.

During the event, I participated by acting as an organizational assistant. My role was to arrange and organize vendors for food and refreshments during the event. I was also expected to record, document and observe the actions, conversations, and results of activities and discussions that took place during the event. It was a interesting type of volunteering because of the jobs I did. I have never considered a job in this field but after this event, I would consider looking to a career like this.
