Communication Capstone was a course that required students to implement all the skills, knowledge, and experiences throughout their four years at Southern Connecticut State University into a Social Justice Project. The goal of our project was to promote ways to respect women to younger boys and girls. The purpose of this project was to teach a workshop to children so that they could understand how to respect themselves as well as their peers.
The Women's Workshop Video I videotaped and edited demonstrates my ability to competently communicate and collaborate with the presenters and myself. I was expected to record, edit, and create a video to depict the workshop's activities in a way that the presentation group thought would best illustrate the social justice issue. I worked through the footage and chose the clips that best portrayed competent communication both verbally and non verbally. By achieving the goals and expectations of the presentation group I demonstrate my ability to competently communicate and achieve the expectations within my personal and group goals.
