On April 30, 2017 I volunteered for Theresa’s Battleship Foundation, a foundation that coordinates fundraisers to raise money and awareness for children’s cancer research. My volunteer work included set up before the event, foundation promotion during the event, and assistance with monitoring the funds and contributions donated after the event.
This volunteer work and experience signifies effective group behavior because I was expected to work with different committee members of the foundation to assist in the organization and maintenance of the fundraiser. I was also given the responsibility of overseeing the funds donated during the event. This shows that I was an effective group member because I gained trust, goodwill, and respect from the foundation committee so that I could be granted this responsibility.
