All band and guard families have a CutTime account. It's very important that you access CutTime regularly to stay updated, view your student's account, see volunteer opportunities, and pay fees.
You will be sent a link via a text to your registered mobile device.
If you do not receive a link, please reach out to one of our Booster Board members, to verify your current cell phone number!
Each student account must have at least one parent registered (or both!) with current contact information (email and cell phone)
When important information is shared, you will receive a text with the CutTime link. This link is dedicated to YOUR student.
Clicking the link will take you directly to your student's account, with access to the calendar, financial information, and more. No more log ins needed!
If you have questions about your student's financial account, email our treasurer.
Any credits to the student account will automatically be applied to any fees that are due. This is automated through CutTime and we cannot change it.
In the event that you are unable to pay via CutTime, you may pay via personal check made out to MCHS Band Boosters.
Payments can be turned in via the Black Box in the Band Room. The Black Box is located on the wall to the left of the door leading to the main part of the school. Be sure your STUDENT'S NAME is clearly indicated on any payments you turn in.
Each band and guard student has an account. Money earned from fundraisers and paid volunteering goes into your student's account. The account is good for all 4 years of high school, even if they choose not to continue in band or guard every year.
Student account money can be used for:
Supplies needed for instruments (reeds, oil, lyres/flip folders, mutes, etc)
Marching Band shoes and gloves
*Trip fees
*Instrument cleanings & repairs
*Indoor Percussion fees
*Pre-approved private music lessons
*If you would like to use the money in your student's account to pay for any of these items, you will need to fill out a Student Disbursement Form and return it to our treasurer. This form must be signed by a parent/guardian and the student.
Another great thing about student accounts is that if you have already spent money on these items, you can request to be reimbursed for payments you've already made! Be sure to keep receipts for these out-of-pocket purchases for reimbursement requests.
Remember, though, that it's good practice to leave the money in the account if your student is continuing in band or guard, as there are always new fees and supplies needed the next year. The Marching Band also does a trip every 2 years, alternating between a bigger trip, that may require a plane ride and/or passport, and a smaller trip which is usually within a reasonable driving distance. An estimation of cost for these trips is approximately $500-$3000 per student depending on the destination, current pricing, and student participation. Directors decide the trip destination and time frame each year. As soon as we know information about it, you will too. There are usually payment plan options available as well.
These will give you an idea of places the Marching Band has visited in the past and may re-visit for future trips.
2007-2008 Hawaii
2009-2010 San Antonio, TX
2011-2012 Branson, MO
2013-2014 Disney World, FL
2015-2016 Atlanta Peach Bowl, GA
2017-2018 New Orleans, LA
2019-2020 Toronto, Canada (cancelled due to pandemic ☹️)
2022-2023 Disney World, FL
2024-2025 Nashville & Memphis, TN
2026-2027 Big Trip
2028-2029 Small Trip
As you can see, there is a wide range of trip destinations, and of course, future trips are not limited to those listed, but it can help give you an idea of where directors think of going and an idea for budgeting costs for future trips.
If a student performer who is a graduating senior or will otherwise no longer be a member of the Band Program, has a remaining balance in their Student Account, that balance can be:
Transferred to the account(s) of any sibling(s) who are or will become a Band Member within the following 2 years
Transferred to a designated current Student Account of their choice
If there are no siblings or another account has not been designated for the transfer, the remaining funds will be moved into the Band Booster General Fund
All reimbursement and transfer requests must be submitted by June 30 of the current year your senior student graduates. If no requests are received by June 30 of the graduation year, the funds from graduated senior accounts will be distributed to the Band Booster General Fund.
