Hot-Yaki Wings
Ingredients
Chicken Wings
Marinade
Equal parts Dale's Steak Seasoning & Frank's Red Hot Buffalo (~1 cup each)
Sauce
½ cup Teryaki (low sodium)
1 tsp Chili Flakes
1/8 tsp Cumin
Dash of Chinese Five Spice
2 dashes Cayenne
2 Tbs Frank's Red Hot Buffalo
Preparation
Combine marinade ingredients in a large storage bag. Add the wings, let marinade for ~30 minutes
Heat grill to ~350 degrees Farenheit
Place the wings around the edge of the grill. This allows for a little extra heat to crisp up the skin. Cook for ~30-35 minutes, flip halfway through. Targeting an internal temperature of 175-180 degrees.
Combine sauce ingredients in a mixing bowl. Toss the wings in the sauce and serve
Notes
If you don't want to use Dale's Steak Seasoning due to the MSG or it isn't available in your store, below is a simple DIY alternative:
Ingredients
3 cups soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke (optional)
1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
1 dash black pepper
1 dash paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Preparation
Combine the ingredients in a bowl and whisk well with a wire whisk until incorporated.
