The principles of the Alexander Technique can be applied across a broad range of occupations, professions and industries. The Alexander Technique develops an awareness of movement and postural patterns that may be contributing to pain, re-organising them for easier and more effective ways to move and live.
Anne is a Trainer with Optimum Dental Posture and has experience supporting members of the dental profession to overcome and prevent occupational chronic pain. (See below for Melbourne Training Workshops).
Anne has been working with dental professionals since 2016 and continues to provide one-on-one training for those experiencing occupational chronic pain.

“I am a dentist and started to have Alexander Technique lessons with Anne due to a chronic pain around the coccyx. I discovered how to move around the surgery while treating my patients without unnecessary movements which hurt my joints, muscles and bones. I also found out how we hurt ourselves on a daily basis - doing household chores, driving and even while sleeping, due to awkward positions.
Now, I am more aware of the position of my body and feel that a lot of tension has been released. I have also been able to learn how to relax, to be mindful of my day-to-day activities and to start doing exercises again with more confidence.”
