About Marietta Sand Prairie State Preserve

Marietta Sand Prairie State Preserve is located in Marshall County, just north and west of Marshalltown, Iowa. The preserve consists of 219 acres of sand prairie and fens managed by the Marshall County Conservation Board. Seventeen acres in the southwest corner of this preserve are in remnant condition. The more recent 202 acre addition to the preserve was previously cropped and is currently undergoing restoration.
