The MGSB Library is one of the most important in Spain dedicated to Paleontology. It specializes in fossil invertebrates, but also has an important representation of titles on fossil vertebrates and plants. It is complemented by works of a geological, geographical and scientific nature in general and a large number of magazines and other specialized periodicals.
It currently houses almost 17,000 catalogued titles and about 6,000 separate ones, which can be searched through a file sorted alphabetically by author and another sorted by subject. The catalogued titles include magazines and periodicals. The collection is its own or the result of donations and bequests from different people. The libraries of Dr. Almera, Bataller, Via, Calçada, Faura i Sans, Candel, etc. are preserved. It also has a map library with topographic and geological maps, mainly regional. For the consultation of books and publications in general, there is a room attached to the Library, with the same morning hours as the Museum.
