Sneaking Mission is a game mode where two teams participate in a Team Deathmatch; however, one player is assigned Old Snake and must collect three Dog Tags to win the game.

The teams win the game by depleting all of Old Snake's lives. If the round ends by time-out the team with more tickets remaining wins.

Dog Tags can only be acquired from Stunned players! So stealth and careful planning is required to isolate and immobilize players to steal more Dog Tags.

When playing the Sneaking Mission mode one of the safest ways to collect dog tags is by using Hold-Ups, as once a player stops moving they're much easier to immobolise!

When playing the Sneaking Mission mode Old Snake has a powerful assortment of tools; however, when too many enemies are present engaging in combat can be dangerous! Isolate enemies and only engage when players are in smaller groups.

When lobbies have 12 players or more in Sneaking Mission, Old Snake is assisted by another player using Otacon's MK.II. Understanding how MK.II can spawn Dog Tags is a vital part of playing Old Snake.
