While thinking about housing in the Greater Boston area can be intimidating, it is certainly reasonable to find a nice place either in Boston itself or in the suburbs. The neighborhoods that our fellows have lived in while at MGHfC have depended on their own tastes. Some have chosen to rent while others have purchased homes. While many live in Boston or Cambridge, others have chosen to live in the suburbs and commute it either using public transportation or driving by car.

Apartment landlords in Boston will commonly require deposits for leases that include first and last months rent payments. MassGeneral-Brigham Health developed a lease guarantee program to assure landlords steady employment during the course of the lease and in exchange, many landlords waive these required deposits. (Note, this is not a "payment advance" program.)
