Keep it Rolling- Keep it rolling lesson, PP
Lesson Explanation
Within this lesson, students were giving dice to help determine which exercises they would be doing. Students were given instruction to roll the dice and had visual aids to help them show which each number meant, along with how to do the exercise.
Giving this type of instruction to student is important because when it is a series of exercises in a row for students, they always can't remember what each will be. Having those visuals aids is where it is important so each student can be success.
I learned students had fun being able to roll and decide which exercises they were doing. This gave them more of a feeling of control on how they spent their energy for the day.
Deck of Cards workout- Deck of cards
Lesson Explanation
During this lesson, students were broken up into groups with a timer and a deck of cards. Students then were given a sheet to explain which each card meant. The visual of this assignment was to give instruction to students without having to go over every card individually in the deck. Students had to look each one up on their own before starting the exercises.
Exercises and expectations were talked about before starting in the groups. Students need to know what expectations are before every class.
This lesson was timed. I learned adding incentives within this time exercise had the students working harder to achieve their goal of who could get through more of their deck of cards.
