In order to support the draft Resolution "Conservation of Mediterranean Basin island wetlands", proposed by the Greek Government and later adopted by the 12th COP in Uruguay (2015) as Ramsar Resolution XII.14, WWF Greece scanned and pinpointed the potential wetlands in all the Mediterranean islands. This primary work, was then used as basic information for building up the common Mediterranean project. Apart from file "Cyprus_2016" which contain the final wetland sites, the rest are only indicative and further scan of the Med islands is needed by the partners.
