ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION
The candidates should have passed the two years P.U.C examination conducted by the P.U Education Board, Karnataka State, with Physics, Chemistry & Biology as optional subjects; or any other examination recognized as equivalent to it by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. OR The candidates should have passed the B.Sc examination of Bangalore University or any other statutory University provided he/she has passed the B.Sc examination with not less than three of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology.
The institute arranges pick and drop facilities, from the main road junction to the college and hospital, every hour for staff, students, and patients and their caregivers.
The Candidate should have completed seventeen years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission
Foreign students desiring admission should produce:
No Objection Certificate from the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi.
An eligibility Certificate from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore
Student Visa
Residential Certificate.
The Selection is based on the Common Entrance Test (C.E.T), conducted once a year by the Karnataka Government or COMED-K conducted by Consortium of Pvt Medical Colleges of Karnataka once a year for all the students from the state & country seeking admission into the course.
Among the total number of seats available i.e 150, 40% (60seats) will be filled by the CET examination results for the domicile of Karnataka only. 40% (60 seats) will be filled by the examination results of COMED-K Examination.

BGS Global Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore offers admission to undergraduate courses. Admission will be done on the basis of the marks scored in the KCET examination conducted by the Karnataka Government/COMED-K examination. The detailed admission process is given below:
For Undergraduate Courses (MBBS):
Candidates should qualify Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET)/Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMED-K) examinations.
Eligible candidates should fill an application form on the website of BGSGIMS.
Admission will be done on the basis of the merit in KCET/COMED-K examinations.
Final admission will be offered after seat allotment, document verification and fee payment.

BGS Global Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore provides many infrastructural facilities to the students and faculty such as a cafeteria to serve food to the students, library with a collection of books, transportation for local students, medical facilities to fulfill the medical needs of the students.
Lecture halls
The Institute has state-of-the-art air conditioned lecture theatres that are designed spaciously to accommodate 250 students at a time. All the lecture theatres are facilitated with audio visual equipment including LCD projectors, slide projectors, microphones, etc. Apart from the lecture theatres all the departments have seminar/demonstration rooms with a seating capacity of 25 to 40 with audio-visual aids.
Digital IP cameras are installed to record live lectures, which are converted into digital format for the provision of E-learning. Multi-purpose halls are designed for conducting internal and university exams. These halls are equipped with surveillance system to monitor the students during examination.
College library
A well-established air- conditioned central library of 3200 sqm area, 400 seating capacity with books and journals (Indian and Foreign) as per MCI norms. A fully equipped computer lab, internet facility and an exclusive room with audio-visual aids.
Animal house
Department animal house is maintained by the department of Pharmacology. In addition to the animal house, experimental work on animals is demonstrated by Computer Aided Education.
Hostel
The provides separate hostels for boys and girls with spacious, clean, and well-furnished living spaces and recreation rooms. The hostel mess serves hygienic and nutritious food in spacious dining rooms. Round-theclock security services ensure adequate safety to the inmates of the hostels.
There is a dedicated committee consisting of wardens, assistant wardens and college manager—headed by the principal—to oversee hostel facilities, maintenance of discipline and address problems of the hostel inmates if any.

Sports and games
A sophisticated health club and outdoor and indoor games facilities are available to keep the doctors-to-be physically fit. Students can indulge in sports such as football, basketball, cricket, hockey, etc. and indoor games like badminton and table tennis.

Anti-ragging committee
To avoid ragging BGSGIMS has taken steps to follow strictly the guidelines according to the Prevention and Prohibition of Ragging in Medical Colleges/Institutions, Regulations 2009 as notified by the Medical Council of India. Undertaking will have to be submitted by the Parent/Guardian as well as individual students according to the notification given below
The Anti-Ragging Committee and the Anti-Ragging Squad are constituted to force immediately. The following are the members in respective committees. Hence all the staff members and students are requested to cooperate in totally preventing ragging. Staff and students are also requested to keep a watch on the student’s movement to prevent Ragging incidences and to report if any such incidences take place immediately to either committee member or the Nodal Officer.
Cafeteria
Well-maintained cafeteria in the college serves hygienic food at reasonable price. Students and staff are provided with a choice of north Indian and south Indian cuisines. A separate canteen, adjacent to the hospital, is also made available for patients and caregivers.
