Year 3

In your third year you will work in your chosen creative, technical or managerial role, on a Final Major Project, supported by a Research Project. To kick-the-year-off you will work on an intensive client brief.

The K-Scope Client Brief, context...

Our 3rd year students took on a live brief for Snapper/Kscope music in London. The brief was to develop concepts for music videos for three of their artists who were releasing albums in the new year, pitch the concepts to the company and bands in London and produce the videos before Christmas.

The bands were very impressed and two of the videos were chosen for release by Harrison Williams (NoSound) and Dewi Allen Gazpacho), with further videos being commissioned from these students.

Dewi Allen’s music video for Gazpacho’s ‘Exit Suite’ was nominated for Video of the Year at the 2018 Progressive Music Awards.

“The video was shot as part of an experiment with young students in Wales, and we immediately loved the dark and weird format, the modern lo-fi nature of it and somehow enigmatic development that we thought was absolutely perfect for the song!”

Director & Editor Chloe Cummings won Best Non-Scripted Film at 2022 RTS Student Film Awards, for one of her four Major Project films, Rameece's Story.

Chloe created a factual series of four films entitled Find You Passion. Find Your Sport, the series was adopted by Sports Wales in 2021.
