You Shall Know the Truth

You shall Know the TRUTH – John 8:32

The TRUE Condition of the ‘Living Soul’ (Man) After the Fall…

Man becomes earthy (1Co 15:47)

He is …. carnal, sold under sin (Rom 7:14)

When we received the Undefiled ‘Life of God’ – Ezekiel 36:26; John 1:12,13

Our true condition (the Living Soul) is still fleshly and carnal…

Self centered…

We need to be transformed (sanctified)…

and be conformed to the likeness of the LordJesus Christ (Rom 8:29)

the living soul must ‘die’ to himself and be like

Christ like again (Mat 16:24-25)

The living soul must daily

KNOW and  EXPERIENCE the TRUTH that will set him free (John 8:32)

WHY???

The deceptive tactics (works) of the enemy is so subtle (intelligent maneuver, tricky)  yet so effective that  its ‘LIES’ penetrate so deep into the hearts of men.

So that….

While the WORD of GOD clearly declare that receving the LORD JESUS in our hearts is not by ourselves, nor by any decision nor act of will, nor by the blood (any ability) of man (Joh 1:12-13), nor by his work so that he can’t have anything to boast (Eph 2:9)….

…. yet man is still saying…. he decided to accept the LORD.

What is happening now ?

Man is trying to prove to himself, to other people…and to the world, that he has a part to his salvation…that he is not a robot…. and he has the will to choose and to decide..…

The deception of the enemy…

But  the  word  of  god  declares…

Heb 4:10 - For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

Heb 4:11 -   Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

2Ti_2:15  -  Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Heb 4:12  -  For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Do not allow the enemy of soul to explore and to take advantage  (opportunity) of the weakness of the flesh, that we find lifting ourselves rather than lifting the Lord Jesus in our hearts.

No outward observances can take the place of simple faith and entire renunciation of self. But no man can empty himself of self. We can only consent for Christ to accomplish the work. Then the language of the soul will be, Lord, take my heart; for I can not give it. It is Thy property. Keep it pure, for I can not keep it for Thee. COL 159.3

Save me in spite of myself, my weak, unchristlike self. Mold me, fashion me, raise me into a pure and holy atmosphere, where the rich current of Thy love can flow through my soul. It is not only at the beginning of the Christian life that this renunciation of self is to be made. At every advance step heavenward it is to be renewed. All our good works are dependent on a power outside of ourselves.Only by constant renunciation of self and dependence on Christ can we walk safely.

The nearer we come to Jesus, and the more clearly we discern the purity of His character, the more clearly we shall discern the exceeding sinfulness of sin, and the less we shall feel like exalting ourselves. Those whom heaven recognizes as holy ones are the last to parade their own goodness.... At every advance step in Christian experience our repentance will deepen. It is to those whom the Lord has forgiven, to those whom He acknowledges as His people, that He says, “Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, ... and shall loathe yourselves in your own sight.”—Christ’s Object Lessons, 159, 160. .
