Seek the Kingdom of God

Foreword: Our Spiritual Birth

IN HIM was LIFE; and the LIFE was the LIGHT of men.-  John_1:4

He gives us a new heart… Eze_11:19,

….and a new spirit -Eze_36:26

Cast away from you us all  our transgressions - Eze_18:31

Admonition:

John 1:12-13  But as many as received Him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Then…His admonition to everyone that became ‘the sons of God’…..

is….to seek the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness….(Matthew 6:33)

The Totality of the Kingdom of God is the Lord Jesus Christ

1Cor. 4:20  For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

1Cor. 1:24  But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

So that….

If we want to seek the Kingdom of God, seek Him who owns the Kingdom…seek the Lord Jesus Christ…

The Righteousness of  God is THE LORD JESUS CHRIST...

Eph_6:14  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;..- Eph. 6:14 (also Eph. 6:11-15; 16-17 and 1Th_5:8)

If we want to seek the Kingdom of God, seek Him who is the totality of the  Kingdom of God and the Righteousness of God…seek the Lord Jesus Christ…

Truth No. 1

When you received the Lord Jesus (Jn 1:12-13)

The Lord Jesus Christ is right now within you…

“The kingdom of God can not come with observation : Neither they shall say, Lo here! Or , lo there! For the kingdom of God is within you.” – Lk 17:21

Truth No. 2

When you received the Lord Jesus (Jn 1:12-13)

He dwells in your inner being. You become the temple of the living God… (I Cor. 3:16)

3. If the Kingdom of God is within Us, why should we seek the Kingdom of God? – Luke 17:21 and Matthew 6:33

1. Because God said so

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you.” – Matthew 6:33; Luke 12:31

2. Because it is hidden…

We don’t need to seek those things which are revealed. But things which are still hidden are the things we need to seek

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter – Prov. 25:2

…secret things belong unto the Lord, but revealed things belong to us and to our children forever…that we may do all the words written in His law – Deu. 29:29

3. God wants us to be transformed from glory to glory…

For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God – Rom 3:23

Moreover whom He did predestinate, them

He also called: and whom he called, them

He also justified: and whom He justified,

them He also glorified – Rom 8:30

4. It is the will of God  to reveal the secrets (mysteries) of His kingdom us…
Only to those who are born from above are privileged to know the mysteries of the kingdom. Only those who are born from above can see the kingdom of God (John 3:3).

”Unto to you, it is given to know the  mystery of the kingdom of God; but to them that are without, all these things are done in parable…That seeing, they may not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins be forgiven them.” -  Mt. 13: 11; Mk 4:11

5. those who see will seek(John 3:3)

Only those who are being born of the ‘water and the spirit’ are those who seek. They are those who are entering the kingdom (John 3:5).

If you find yourself seeking the kingdom, you will know the blessings within. You will know the secrets...the mysteries… for He bring forth to light those that are hidden.

“...And the things that are hid, He brings forth to light.” – Job 28:11

6. God wants to bless us and His blessing is in His kingdom

Blessings first occur in the spiritual realm. Blessings must go beyond human understanding, beyond the natural to the supernatural. It must pass through the flesh to reach the spirit.

“Blessed be the God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly places in Christ.” – Ephesians 1:3

7. Principle of Multiplication

God is the God of Multiplication. It is His will to multiply the blessings to us.

“Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord. According as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that has called us to knowledge and virtue.” – 2 Peter 1:2-3)

But unless something is added, nothing can be multiplied.

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you.” – Matthew 6:33

Satan knows the principle of multiplication. That is why Satan comes to steal, to kill and to destroy. Satan knows very well, that if he does not, then the blessings of God will surely multiply.

“The thief come not, but to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” – John 10:10

8. God wants us to Glorify His Holy Name

When He blessed us, it is for His glory. We give thanks to Him and we glorify His Name.

“And whatsoever you shall ask in My Name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”- John 14:13

“And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee and thou shall glorify Me.” – Psalms 50:15

9. Only those who seek finds
As with the principle of ‘only those who knock shall the door be opened’, and, ‘only those who ask shall be given’, so is with the kingdom. Only those who seek the kingdom shall see the kingdom.

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you,” – Matthew 7:7

10. That we may go and share our Faith to others

The effective way of sharing our faith is to share what our experiences of the kingdom of God...by acknowledging every good thing we have in Christ Jesus.

“...the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing you have in Christ Jesus.” - Philemon 6

We are being sent to preach the kingdom...to preach what we have learned, received, heard and seen from Him I John 1:1-3.

“And He sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.” - Luke 9:2

11. That we may be conformed to the likeness of the Lord Jesus

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren” - Rom_8:29

The more we come to the knowledge of Him, the more we experience Him. The more we experience Him, the more our lives are being changed…being conformed to HIS likeness…

How should we seek the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness?

A. We need to have a heart that hunger and thirst for His Righteousness

Mat_5:6  Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

B. We need to become like a Child

Mat 18:3 - And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

C. Humble Yourself before the hand of the Almighty God

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: - 1Pe 5:6

Acknowledge that you don’t have the ability to seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness by yourself….but you want and desperately need to seek the Kingdom…

D. Earnestly pray to the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory…..– Eph. 1: 17-20

To grant us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him;

That the eyes of our understanding be enlightened;

That we may know the hope for which He called us and the power that is now working in the saints..

            God bless us all..

Amen!!
