Solution Sketches & Visualizations
Solution 1
This solution is mostly digital and utilizes convenience, familiarity and reward to encourage users to engage in treatment. It includes a management app that would allow users to track CBT tasks with photo and text prompts, have progress and reward meters, have one-stop access to resources, and have access to a moderated social feature where users can seek peer support. This app would also be customizable based on treatment plans and user preferences. For in-office promotion and information, there would be a pamphlet that provides quick facts regarding CBT and its success/importance and general information about the app. Lastly, there would be a social media campaign to increase awareness of CBT and the app. All would be tied to Beck Institute, creators and pioneers of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Solution 2
This solution incorporates reward for mastery and stepping away from the traditional sense of "homework" to make the CBT experience more engaging and hands-on. This would include a series of small envelopes with punch-outs that have space to write in the given CBT tasks and user-generated comments. Users would be able to take and print photos to document treatment that can be slid into the envelopes as a frame, indicating progress and mastery. These small envelopes would then be added to a ring where the user can clip it to a bag or keys. There would also be an informational pamphlet that would include quick facts and instructions. This could also include a sticker set with quotes, hashtags, etc. to help promote and drive the product. These would be packaged in a box that would open to display the product and provide more facts, testimonials, or brand information.
Solution 3
In this solution, there is added emphasis on redesigning worksheets and the delivery of CBT homework to encourage participation in the form of a Welcome Kit. There would be an activity booklet based on already existing worksheets and exercises, with more visuals and color to counter the options already available. Next, there would be an informational pamphlet with quick facts, visualization of the importance, and resources available to the user. Then, there would be two notepad sets. One would give the user space to write the task, goal, and timeframe given by their therapist. Two would give space to write a negative thought pattern you have reframed in your treatment as an affirmation. Lastly, these would be packaged in a box that displays the set with a tagline, branding or information.
